Monday June 19th we quickly gathered our items and left my cousins home around 7:15am to make sure we made it on time to our appointment at Stone's Sprinter Garage for a planned Transmission and Power Steering Flush. The estimated time for that service was 3 to 4 hours so we walked over to Seattle Biscuit Co. to have a quick bite to eat for breakfast and then walked almost a mile each way to see the Fremont Troll hiding under a bridge! During our nice walk along a paved trailed we saw 2 dinosaurs carved out of bushes and then we also stumbled upon one of Google's campuses! Once we made it to the troll someone so kindly took a family photo of us! On our way back we got a good laugh about some of the signage found at a Funeral Home...DC had to point out to us look- pretty flowers! He stopped to smell them and tell us they smell good!
After Ellie got some TLC, she was ready for the next leg of the trip to see Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon! The drive was beautiful!! Lot's of different water features, trains, we drove through a RAINBOW! We crossed through Mt. Hood- it was still SNOW capped on June 19th! After we got out of the snow capped area we found a beautiful rest stop with a view to spend the night at.
Mt. Hood National Forest pictured above was very cold when we drove through- it was 36°....chilly!!!
Pictured below is our view from the rest area we stopped at for the night. It was BEAUTIFUL!!!
