After leaving the Grand Canyon we didn't have many further definitive plans so we enlisted the help of our 3 year old son DC. Per our research Utah doesn't seem too friendly of "boondockers" and their wasn't many places to stay near Bluff Utah. We finally arrived very late to The Navajo Twin's site and found two other vehicles in the parking lot of the closed business so we decided to park for the night and thankfully we weren't bothered! It was a very cool place to see at night and once we woke up and opened up the rear doors of Ellie the sight was breath taking!
I had a hard time sleeping that night, so I decided to do something productive... I found our next destination for that night which was a nice KOA in Silt, CO which is right next to The Colorado River. I also found a pretty waterfall called Rifle Falls, in Rifle Colorado. It was very cool to see some Caves and actually go behind the waterfall. It's a definite must see if you visit Rifle, CO!
During our transit to Rifle Co we saw an active Forest Fire, I've never witnessed one in my life, and it was quite sad when you realize all that's at stake when things like this happen that are not controlled... I stopped and had to take a moment to think and send prayers for all involved...
