Pawleys Island Beach- South Carolina!

Every year we go to the beach, their are certain activities that have become a tradition! The Carr Family has made it a tradition to go to Pawleys Island the same week, so we all can visit with my husband's Grandma, his father, sister, niece, and then all of the Aunt's, Uncle's, Cousin's, their spouses, and families... it's become quite large. We usually rent 3 to 4 houses on Pawley's Island for the week. It's been nice being able to have Oceanfront access and Creek Access!

One of our favorite Beach activities is going on a "Creek Crawl!"

What is a Creek Crawl, you asked?

It's not literally crawling in a creek, depending on the tide will dictate our starting point. We usually have 2 Creek Houses rented so we will start from one of the docks. From there, the tide will pull us along until we reach The Causeway Bridge or when the tide is going out the opposite direction we will begin at the bridge and stop at the docks. Since The Carr Family has grown a lot over the last few years, we have a bunch of little kids that want to participate so we have started to do kiddie creek crawls from the 1st dock to the 2nd houses dock just a short distance down from one another. It's a great way to see how the kid's do! Another reason why we called it a crawl is sometimes the water is crawling, at a slow pace, other times it goes so fast it feel's like the crawl is over in 30 minutes!!!!

We were really excited for the beach this year as last year we had to miss because we were in the hospital about to welcome Daniel into our family!!! :) Also this year was the 1st time DC was able to experience a kiddie crawl! He loved it! Can't wait to do the full thing next year with our entire family!

Gigantic Sting Ray just hanging out by the dock area at The Creek House!

DC is ready to go on his first Creek Crawl!

Daniel's 1st time at The Beach!

Unforuntely he wasn't old enough to go on a Creek Crawl with us, but he seemed to enjoy the Beach and eating Sand...wiches! You have to watch those 2nd kiddo's closely, the second you turn your head they are getting into something!

Stay tuned for our next blog as we recap our exploration to The Gardens! :)
