Sprinter Van Roadtrip- Day 19- Fresno Chaffee Zoo on World Giraffe Day!

Our last day in California, was on June 23rd, we spent it with Auntie Kim and Jerri at Fresno Zoo! It was a nice day from a weather stand point. DC was pretty tired from walking the day before at Yosemite due to him wearing rainboots without socks on so poor guys feet got rubbed a little raw. He didn't want to walk much at the Zoo, so Dad and Mom took turns carrying him. That seemed to help for a bit. We saw a lot of beautiful animals that were fairly different than what the Detroit or Toledo Zoo have.

As we were visiting the Lion exhibit the male and female started to walk over to this partial enclosed Land Rover- the hood was inside the Lion exhibit while the wheel and seats were outside so you could sit in it. As we were sitting in the Land Rover the Lioness jumped onto the hood! That was scary and super cool at the same time! After we got a cool photo we headed over to the giraffe exhibit where you could pay a few bucks to feed the giraffes, Nana and Jerri paid for DC to feed the giraffes. It was kind of surprising that DC didn't seem scared! "No Fear David Carr", Like Father like Son! I'm pretty sure after those two fun and exciting things he forgot about the foot pain!

After a fun and exciting day at the Zoo we were ready to head back to my Aunt's to have dinner and go to bed as the next day we were going to be on the road to travel to our next destination.

Thank you Auntie Kim and Jerri for hosting us! We had a wonderful time together! These photos are super funny and will make lifetime memories!

Stay tuned for our next adventure to.....
